Then why not join one of our Book Groups?
No, it's not like this!
The Library plays host to two book groups who meet once a month in a convivial, informal setting to talk about a novel (or occasionally non-fiction) which everyone has read the previous month.
Everyone is welcome; you don't need to have a degree in English Literature or read the Times Literary Supplement - your enthusiasm is enough and you can join in as much as you want.
Both groups can take about 12 members, and neither are yet up to capacity. So why not contact the organisers and find out more?

Book Group 1
This Group meets on the last Wednesday of every month at 7:30 in the evening. The Group collectively choses which books to read and then loans sets from the Bucks Libraries scheme, so members generally don't have to buy them. If the Group wants to read something which the scheme cannot provide, then each member is responsible for getting hold of their own copy.
If you are interested in joining, please email Jane Darbyshire
Book Group 2
This Group meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:45 in the evening. The Group collectively choses which books to read, but members do not restrict themselves to those books the Bucks Library scheme provides. Hence, each member is responsible for getting hold of their own copy by borrowing or buying their own (often on Kindle or a similar device).
Sometimes wine and nibbles are available!
If you are interested in joining, then please email Sarah Jameson.
